Description

The Finance Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of the Finance Shared Services function. This position will manage and improve processes related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and other key finance operations. The role requires strategic leadership, a strong understanding of financial processes, and the ability to implement best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery across the organization.

The position is office based and we are looking for immediate joiners.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of finance professionals, ensuring high performance and development.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring clear priorities and accountability.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Process Optimization and Improvement

  • Continuously review and optimize the finance shared services processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Lead process automation and system improvement projects to streamline financial operations.
  • Ensure alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Oversee the preparation of regular financial reports and ensure that key financial information is accurate, timely, and actionable.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains through data analysis and process reviews.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main point of contact between finance shared services and other departments, including accounting, procurement, and HR.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align shared services strategy with overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure that finance operations comply with internal controls, accounting standards, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Manage audits and respond to inquiries from internal auditors, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.

System and Technology Management

  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of financial systems and tools like RPA used within shared services.
  • Ensure that systems are functioning effectively, and that data integrity is maintained.

Training and Development

  • Ensure that the finance shared services team is trained on new financial systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote continuous learning and development within the team.

Qualification & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (CA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in finance shared services or a similar
  • financial operations role.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in managing shared services or a similar
  • financial operations role.
  • Proven track record of process optimization, cost management, and service delivery.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
