Finance Manager (Shared Services)

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead a team of finance professionals in the shared services center, ensuring high levels of performance, motivation, and development.
• Develop training programs and ensure continuous improvement in team skill sets.
• Establish clear performance metrics, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

Operational Management:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the shared services center, ensuring the timely processing of financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure all financial processes are in line with corporate guidelines and regulations.
• Identify, monitor, and resolve any operational issues affecting the finance department.

Process Improvement:

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies.
• Lead projects aimed at automating manual processes and adopting new financial technologies.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure their adherence across the team.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure that all finance processes comply with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, audits, and other required documentation.
• Monitor the accuracy of financial data entered into systems and maintain data integrity.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding finance services.
• Collaborate with other offices and departments (e.g., IT, HR, OGC, Marketing) to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and third-party service providers as necessary.

Financial Analysis:

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve decision-making.
• Monitor key financial KPIs to ensure the financial operations are aligned with corporate objectives.

Internal Audit Management

• Develop and implement audit plans
• Lead the team to perform internal audits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with policies
• Collaborate with various offices to address audit findings and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Monitor compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or professional accounting certification such as CPA, CMA preferred).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and regulatory standards.
• Experience with process optimization and automation tools.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
