Description

As a strong individual contributor reporting to APAC, Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and operations of the finance team. You will oversee timelines, provide constructive insights and analysis to financial data while at the same time roll up your sleeves to ensure seamless execution of day-to-day workflow within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full set of accounts, including timely monthly financial closing, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting to ensure timely and accurate production of periodic management reports.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal control procedures. Accountable for managing tax and regulatory reporting obligations in Singapore and the subsidiary’s respective operational jurisdiction.
  • Support Head of Finance APAC by furnishing timely financial reports, budgets, interpreting financial data. Consolidate, analyse, interpret, and prepare financial report for management decision.
  • Administers financial reporting, management accounting, banking arrangement, credit and collection, payroll administration and all local/corporate taxation by liaising with internal and external customers including auditor, treasury, taxation, to ensure the timely and accurate reporting and recording of information.
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating finance projects and initiatives across APAC. Any other ad-hoc projects such as oversees the implementation Shared Service, ERP systems, expense claim system and new subsidiary setup in the region.
  • Support in periodic budget, forecast exercise, logistic operations matter. Analysis of forecast, budget, actuals and other specific business dynamics
  • Provide Analytics to support Business Discussions with different stakeholders. Set up ROI and Measurement metrics for activities. Create Dashboard to better understand and drive the business.
  • Continuously enhance reporting tools through the automation of data feeds, adaption of existing models/methods, and the invention of new models/method

Qualification & Requirements

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in accountancy, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA/CFA/CPA or similar.
  • 10 years of relevant experience of which at least 2 years of regional finance or accounting role with a track record of successful financial management. Experience in audit firm will be an advantage.
  • A strong knowledge of all the accounting and taxation principles and standards, statutory legislations, and regulations locally, regionally, and globally.
  • Prior experience of shared service, ERP system and its implementation with project management ability.
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Mandarin (to handle queries and instructions from Mandarin-speaking stakeholders in regards with the finance matters).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to drive results.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open-minded, adaptable, and collaborative. Strong Business Acumen: A strong understanding of how business decisions impact financial outcomes.
  • Adaptability: good at multitasking and working independently. Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Meticulous, curious, good-time management with high level of proactiveness, initiative and integrity. Thrives in ambiguity and has a builder mentality and is self-starter/motivator.
