Description

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial operations at the McDonald’s Global Office in Mexico. This role will oversee financial planning and analysis, compliance, and operational excellence, acting as a strategic finance partner to local teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, leadership, and the ability to implement standardized processes in a shared services environment.

This position reports to the Global Office Finance Director (based in India) with a dotted line to the Mexico Site Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Mexico office, ensuring alignment with global standards and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with local teams to deliver financial insights and recommendations that drive performance and efficiency.
  • Define and track key financial performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal controls in collaboration with external vendors and enterprise teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across HQ, India, and Mexico to support strategic financial initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, banks, and auditors.
  • Oversee vendor invoice processing and payments, serving as the primary liaison with internal finance teams and consultants.
  • Administer the American Express platform and corporate credit card program.
  • Enforce adherence to T&E policies for employee expense reports.
  • Coordinate with Global Trade consultants and Customs Brokers to support import activities.
  • Serve as legal representative with the Tax Authority, as applicable.
  • Partner with the Tax team to obtain and maintain IMMEX certification (VAT exemption program).
  • Support finance and accounting initiatives related to Global Finance Modernization (GF Mod) and Procure-to-Pay processes.

Qualification & Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, compliance standards, and internal controls.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

  • Commitment to do broad type of responsibilities from operational execution to strategic business partnering.
  • Knowledge of local tax regulations and experience with government programs such as IMMEX is advantageous.
