Description

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end financial accounting, management, and reporting for a South African Sales & Distribution subsidiary, as well as providing shared services to a sister company’s Service Provider Business operational holding subsidiaries in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise broad accounting activities in our central ERP system (SAP S4/HANA).
  • Perform and oversee monthly, quarterly, annual closing activities.
  • Responsible for Intercompany finance processes.
  • Develop and implement accounting approaches ensuring compliance to local GAAP/business practices whilst adhering to the group accounting principles and financial control framework.
  • Partner and collaborate with Headquarters Treasury and Consolidation department.
  • Oversee timely and accurate billing and AR collections.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, annual financial and management reporting, including variance analysis vs. budgets and forecasts & previous years.
  • Coordinate and support the budgeting/forecasting process in close collaboration with the Managing Director.
  • Coordinate, support and follow up of the annual audit processes.
  • Ensure timeous, efficient and cost-effective management of company’s operations.
  • Manage the Operations Specialist to fulfill duties including inventory management, inbound flow, set-up and adjustment of product forecast, the strategic development and execution of future production needs for local suppliers. Comply to existing Supply Chain procedures for planning and sourcing purposes and is expected to participate in policy improvement initiatives.
  • Support annually defined as well as ad-hoc defined improvement projects where required.

Qualification & Requirements

  • BCom Accounting Honours, CA(SA), SAICA accredited.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role post articles.
  • Experience working with Middle Eastern and African countries
  • Proven track record as a Finance Team Leader with excellent leadership skills.
