Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager Financial Shared Service Center to oversee our Financial Shared Service Center in a logistics company in Rotterdam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent leadership skills, a passion for process improvement, and experience in a logistics company. This role will be critical in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations and supporting the growth and strategic objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Financial Shared Service Center team, ensuring high performance and engagement.
  • Oversee daily operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular performance reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and support business objectives.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to team members.
  • Handle escalated issues and resolve complex financial questions.
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial operations, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes and systems, including SAP and other ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Experience in a logistics or supply chain environment is an advantage.
