The company’s top accounting position in Japan! Many opportunities to collaborate with global companies. As a key member of the APAC accounting team, you will lead accounting and management operations in Japan.

Key Points

Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing compliance with Japanese statutory and regulatory requirements
    • Closing process
    • Maintaining accounting records
  • Reconciliation of vendor, customer and collection information
    • Handling Japanese financial/banking requirements, tax returns, transfer pricing, customs audits, etc.
    • Check processes, standard operating procedures, internal control functions, etc.
  • Automate, streamline and improve reporting, accounting and financial operations processes
    • Liaison with financial departments and other internal departments in each country

Qualification & Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA/CA)
  • Fluent Japanese and business level or higher English skills
  • Experience in finance and accounting (10+ years)
  • Work experience of 3 years or more
  • Proven track record of achieving results in complex environments
  • Experience managing a shared service provider or working in a shared service center
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Blackline, Concur, MediSpend, and workflow tools used in shared service environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the Asia Pacific region
  • Skills to localize policies and procedures for Japan in line with global/regional guidelines
  • Emphasis on compliance, ability to address and resolve gaps in internal controls, etc.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of project management tools
  • Experience at a Big 4 audit firm
  • Knowledge of Hyperion reporting and planning tools, SAP
