Description

As Finance Excellence & Innovation Lead, you will be responsible for managing transformation within the finance function globally. You will oversee an initiative pipeline, align with senior stakeholders, and drive projects and best practices to shape and promote our long-term finance vision and strategy. This position reports to Mediq’s CFO and focuses on designing a future-ready, scalable Finance Operating Model and roadmap that advance innovation, standardization, and digitalization at Mediq.

Finance Excellence & Innovation Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the implementation of our Finance Operating Model at Mediq, creating clear pillars in Financial Business Partnering (FBP), FP&A, and Accounting Operations.
  • Create and implement a digital finance roadmap, aligning market and group requirements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and reporting at Mediq.
  • Lead and manage selected digital-roadmap projects to successful implementation across the group (for example, introducing a finance forecasting tool).
  • Facilitate collaboration across countries to establish and promote best practices, standards, and operational consistency.
  • Develop and manage Mediq’s finance-transformation pipeline within finance communities, markets, and the group to ensure Finance delivers lasting value to the organization.
  • Set an agenda for finance operations in Mediq’s shared service center, including long-term strategic objectives and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Shape Mediq’s finance strategy and common vision with the CFO and Finance Leadership Team to add value to the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Finance, including 5+ years in transformation or strategic roles
  • Proven track record in project and change management within international, complex organizations
  • Deep understanding of financial processes and operating models
  • Strong knowledge of digital finance tools and innovation (e.g., RPA, AI, analytics)
  • Fluency in English (Dutch preferred)
  • Experience with methodologies such as Lean or other structured project-management frameworks

Technical Proficiency

  • Expertise in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and data-analytics platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of financial domains (FP&A, FBP, AP/AR, Accounting)
  • Familiarity with digitalization technologies and their implementation within Finance
