PQQ, SQ, Bid and Tender Writing Services covering all industries in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the newly established US GAAP Shared Services team.
- Complete the budget and forecast requirements for the Corporate Shared Services entity in Malaysia.
- Assist the Corporate Shared Services leadership to transfer work from other global locations to the US GAAP Shared Services team.
- Lead the team through the monthly close process, ensuring that it is completed timely and accurately.
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by the team.
- Ensure that the team complies with all applicable global policies, including those in the Coherent Controllers Manual.
- Provide support to the global Operations Controllers, including reporting and analysis when requested.
- Partner with the leadership of the Transactional Accounting Center of Excellence team MY to drive improvements and create efficiency.
- Lead special projects as assigned from Corporate Shared Services leadership.
- Drive team engagement and ensure that performance standards are met.
Qualification & Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Professional Certificate equivalent.
- Preferred with 4-6 years of management experience in corporate finance.
- Able to work under minimum supervision & meet deadlines.
- Possess knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Able to effectively communicate with working partners in foreign countries.
- This position reports directly to the Director of Global Shared Service in the US, so the ability to meet outside of scheduled work hours may be required.
- Experience with common Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Oracle E—Business Suite preferred.
