Description

This role comprises of managing a Finance Team of 3 staff. The ideal candidate will have experience building finance functions and shared services from scratch and driving group-wide financial consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce a robust financial governance framework in Malaysia, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulatory requirements
  • Lead audits and mitigate financial risks through strong oversight of internal and external financial reporting processes.
  • Develop and execute the group’s financial strategy, aligning with long-term business growth objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing insights and recommendations to top management
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and cost management to ensure financial stability and profitability.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement large-scale changes not only within the finance function but across a group of companies.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with Finance & Accounting systems, financial management software, and automation tools to drive efficiency across multiple regions.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of financial leadership experience
  • Proven track record of driving financial governance, compliance, and operational improvements in a regional or multinational context.
  • Ability to manage cross country teams in SEA and Australia
