Description
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on leader for the role of Assistant Vice President – Total Rewards to lead Compensation & Benefits (C&B) strategy for our Philippine operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling compensation structures, benefits programs, and rewards frameworks that align with global standards and local compliance requirements for a workforce of 1,500+.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic Total Rewards programs aligned with business goals and market competitiveness.
- Oversee end-to-end Compensation & Benefits operations including salary structuring, job evaluations, annual merit cycles, benefits administration, and bonus programs.
- Lead salary benchmarking, cost modeling, benefits renewal negotiations (e.g., HMO, life insurance), and statutory compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll-impacting processes (bonuses, leave conversions, offboarding audits, etc.).
- Collaborate with local and global HR leadership to drive compensation philosophy and harmonize reward practices.
- Lead Total Rewards-related systems implementation and process automation initiatives (e.g., online payslip, timekeeping, COE, clearance).
- Coach and manage a team of 6 contingent workers focused on benefits support.
- Act as subject matter expert and key point of contact during audits, investigations, and compliance reviews (SSS, BIR, Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth).
- Utilize and support HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday or equivalent) for compensation and benefits workflows.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or related field (Law units is a plus).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in both Compensation & Benefits.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role, leading C&B strategy or total rewards teams.
- Experience in multinational companies (preferably BPO, Shared Services, Financial Services, or Manufacturing) with 1,500+ FTEs.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, taxation, benefits compliance, and payroll-affecting calculations.
- Experience in HRIS systems such as Workday, MAPS, PeopleCore, or similar platforms.
- Proven success in implementing digital HR solutions and leading cross-functional reward-related projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and policy interpretation skills.
