The Director will partner closely with U.S.-based Finance leadership while building a strong, locally rooted organization aligned with Mexican labor practices and cultural norms.
This position requires bilingual fluency (Spanish/English) and deep experience leading offshore or nearshore finance operations supporting U.S. or global enterprises.

- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics
- Drive strong customer service discipline across all SSC functions
- Support a disciplined and accelerated monthly close process in a U.S. GAAP / SOX-controlled environment
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete transactional inputs into corporate reporting
- Partner with Corporate Controllership and FP&A to improve data integrity and close predictability
- Proactively manage close risks, dependencies, and cross-border coordination challenges
- Design and embed a strong control environment from inception, aligned with SOX, audit, and internal policy requirements
- Ensure consistent execution of internal controls across all SSC processes
- Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support audits and remediation efforts
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws, employment regulations, and local statutory requirements in collaboration with HR and Legal
- Lead SSC-related process standardization and system enablement (ERP, workflow, close tools)
- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives appropriate for SSC maturity (RPA, analytics, AI)
- Build a continuous improvement culture using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Standardize documentation, controls, and process governance across the SSC
- Build, lead, and retain a high-performing Mexico-based SSC organization
- Develop strong local leadership pipelines, including managers and process owners
- Create clear career paths, training programs, and succession plans to support retention and scalability
- Foster a strong, inclusive culture that aligns global expectations with local engagement drivers
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Vice President, Regional Finance, Controller, and senior Finance leadership
- Provide transparent and proactive communication on SSC performance, risks, and transformation progress
- Influence enterprise adoption of the SSC model across business units and geographies
- Manage expectations during transition phases and drive confidence in offshore delivery
