Description

The Director – Order to Cash is a critical member of the North American finance organization and is responsible for developing and executing the finance strategy for the North American Shared Services organization. This individual will have primary responsibility for strategic initiatives in the order to cash function, including planning and execution of plant transfers, managing the Company’s single biller transformation, and ensuring seamless acquisition diligence and integration workstreams. This role will work with key stakeholders across MCC Label’s finance and operations organizations to review and improve existing processes, identify and drive operational excellence projects, and recommend initiatives to achieve the Company’s strategic goals. This role will have high visibility and be responsible for executive management level reporting. This position will report to the VP Finance – Corporate Development and will be an integral member of the North America Shared Services organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight and strategic management of a group of 40 FTEs across the following functions: Collections, Cash Application and Credit
  • Work closely with Operations Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial and IT teams on initiatives to improve working capital and reduce past due balances. These initiatives include strong collaboration with Commercial partners to root cause past due payment issues, enhancement of EDI tools and processes, coordination with Customer Service leadership on recurring issues in the customer portfolio, and review and approval of credit limit and customer on hold changes.
  • Develop migration and integration playbook, including coordinating cross functional teams to ensure seamless acquisition integration, migration of activity from the field to the shared services organization, and harmonization of disparate processes across the organization
  • Drive successful implementation of order-to-cash automation initiative through successful and sustainable implementation of High Radius AI workflow tool.
  • Oversight of project to optimize and streamline customer facing processes, including billing and cash application. Manage dependencies and downstream impacts of move to single biller strategy by coordinating with IT, Sales, Customer Service and Operations stakeholders.
  • Develop and deploy Executive level reporting and dashboarding for order to cash processes including detailed analysis, reporting and countermeasure actions for past due and uncollectible accounts receivable.
  • Drive strategic vision on master data maintenance model across shared services organization with efficient use of cross departmental resources.
  • Coordination with Chief Accounting Officer’s organization on monthly and quarterly accounting processes related to Accounts Receivable, Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) reserve, and management of shared services cost centers.
  • Improve and optimize Quarterly CECL Reserve process including continued compliance with accounting policies and standardization of reserve calculation process.
  • Manage the month-end close activities related to accounts receivable. Coordinate with field controllers, accounting, and other personnel to ensure all financial activities are completed timely and accurately. Perform monthly and quarterly analysis and entries needed for financial reporting, including entries for A/R reserve accounts.
  • Support credit management by establishing and managing credit policies and procedures to assess the creditworthiness of customers, monitor credit limits, review credit applications, and make credit decisions. Manage processes related to customer bankruptcies and accounts sent to third party collection agencies.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Hybrid work schedule in Rosemont, IL
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Motivational and driven leader that can drive process improvements and work well across all layers of the organization to deliver against goals
  • Proven ability to assess, automate, streamline, integrate, and enhance complex processes
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and compliance
  • Goal oriented, motivated self-starter, organized and able to manage multiple tasks
  • 10+ years of experience in financial management
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field

Other considerations:

  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Experience with High Radius
  • Oracle, SAP and/or Great Plains experience
