Director of Shared Services – Accounting

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, oversee, and manage the operations of the shared service functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Payroll.
• Develop and implement strategies and objectives that align with the broader goals and mission of the organization.
• Ensure all financial operations within these functions follow industry standards and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operations and reduce costs.
• Develop positive relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Report on the performance of the shared service functions to senior management regularly.
• Set, monitor, and manage service level agreements and key performance indicators to ensure the effectively performance of the shared service center.
• Train, guide and motivate a large team of professionals to deliver top-tier service and operational excellence.
• Manage and oversee the shared services center’s budget, validate savings, minimize costs, and strive for efficiency.

Qualification & Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, at least 2 leading a shared service function
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experience in shared services
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
