Director of Payment Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage shared services operations across multiple functions (e.g., AP, AR).
  • Develop and implement a scalable service delivery model, aligned with organizational growth and operational needs.
  • Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with business units to ensure customer-centric service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Drive automation, process standardization, and system integration initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Lead change management efforts and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with outsourcing partners or nearshore/offshore teams, ensuring alignment and performance.
  • Support finance and operational reporting needs, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance requirements.
  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing shared services team.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, generate reports, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of payment service professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of payment services.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position will manage the AR and AP teams.

Qualification & Requirements

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required lift objects up to 25 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the company.

Travel

  • Some travel will be required to attend company sponsored meetings and trainings.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing AR and AP functions.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing AR and AP functions, preferably within the property management industry.
  • Strong understanding of high-value transaction management and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage KPIs to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent client and customer service skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Experience (Required)

  • 7 year(s): Financial Management
  • 5 year(s): Leadership role overseeing AR and AP functions.

Education (Preferred)

  • Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field
  • Bachelors or better in Finance or related field
