Description

As Director of Operations, you will play a key role in analyzing operational performance, identifying underperforming function areas, and redesigning and launching processes to benefit those areas. You will be responsible for implementing practical processes to be executed by clinical and non-clinical staff that result in improved patient health outcomes and MLR performance. To perform well in this role, you will be required to traverse functional areas across the company including clinical and administrative operations, technology, analytics, finance, compliance and legal. The ideal candidate will have worked recently in a professional services environment (consulting, investment banking, investment management, etc.) or gained experience in operations/strategy at a startup or large healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on operational performance in key functional areas
  • Identify and monitor KPI trends that materially impact Monogram’s business and patient health outcomes, and present those trends to senior leaders as appropriate
  • Develop critical but practical processes that allow Monogram’s clinicians and Pod support staff to drive improvement of KPIs that most directly impact Monogram’s patients and clients
  • Train on and launch those processes efficiently, to reduce administrative burden for our clinicians and Pod support staff, while driving accountability for reaching our desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with Pod leadership, region leadership, clinical operations, technology and other shared services to dynamically adjust to meet the needs of a rapidly changing organization
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including resource needs, milestones, timelines and action items, and report to senior leaders on progress made toward those key projects, including notification of any barriers, and steps to address
  • Develop and implement net new capabilities for the organization to improve our strategic positioning against our peers, and positively impact the lives of our patients
  • Communicate effectively with management, project sponsors, and functional area managers/directors regarding status of specific projects
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to ensure productive working relationships with shared services department

Qualification & Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, healthcare business administration, operations management, or related subjects
  • Experience in healthcare services or technology; value-based care experience preferred
  • Experience in a professional services environment such as consulting, investment banking or investment management is preferred but can be substituted by relevant start-up experience
  • Experience with database and analytics solutions such as Salesforce Health Cloud or Power BI
  • Experience mapping workflows in Visio or similar tools
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Self-starter and an independent, critical thinker with ability to perform detailed data analysis and recommend actions and processes based on those analyses
  • Demonstration of excellent professional communication skills through clearly written, concise and comprehensive documentation; must be capable of publishing written requirements articulating the big picture business intent as well as technical workflow details
