Description
Our client is a global company known for its innovation, international footprint, and commitment to sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage global engineering shared service teams, aligning efforts to support multiple product categories with high quality and responsiveness.
- Oversee and standardize engineering service functions, including compliance certification processes, product validation/testing, CAD standards, and technical documentation.
- Establish a strong services mentality, driving team culture focused on collaboration, agility, and responsiveness to internal customers.
- Optimize workflows and resources across regions to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
- Collaborate with category engineering leads, product managers, and operations teams to ensure shared services are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Define and track key performance metrics to assess team effectiveness, service quality, and operational improvements.
- Ensure global consistency in documentation practices, testing procedures, and compliance protocols.
- Mentor and grow team leaders, fostering talent development, cross-functional knowledge sharing, and career growth.
- Develop and maintain budgets, resource plans, and tools to support shared services operations at scale.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, tools, and standards that enhance service delivery and global coordination.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical leadership or engineering management roles, ideally across multiple engineering domains.
- Proven experience managing diverse teams across multiple global locations.
- Strong understanding of engineering operations and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and digital engineering workflows.
- Experience in product compliance, regulatory requirements, or industry certification processes (e.g., UL, CE, NSF, etc.).
- Background in consumer or industrial products, ideally in regulated environments.
- Experience leading compliance, testing, documentation, or design resource teams is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Experience working in matrixed organizations or with multiple product lines is a plus.
- Passion for enabling engineering excellence through high-performing service teams.
