Description
Are you a collaboration-minded Director of Accounting looking to make an impact in a fast-growing, innovative industry? A rapidly expanding biotech company is seeking a strategic accounting leader with strong technical expertise to drive financial operations in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a high-performing team (2+ direct reports) in accounting operations and shared services.
- Lead process improvements, system implementations, and risk assessments to boost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal policies, and regulations.
- Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, and external teams for smooth reporting, audits, and timely closings.
- Oversee key accounting functions: accruals, prepaids, grant income, fixed assets, leases, and intercompany transactions.
- Drive special projects, system integrations, and process automation.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting (CPA preferred).
- 10+ years in accounting operations, including 4+ years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of public company accounting, SOX compliance, and operational finance.
- Experience with NetSuite, ADP, SAP Concur, and other tools is a plus.
- Ability to work onsite 3+ days/week, with flexibility as needed.
