Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Accounting to join our team. This role is perfect for an innovative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about managing and improving financial processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and providing strategic guidance on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Additional duties as necessary.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or CPA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven knowledge and experience with cash application.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
  • Excellent accounting software user administration skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
