Description

The Director Global Financial Shared Services is responsible for the performance management, and continuous improvement of the company’s Financial Shared Services, covering Record to Report (R2R), Acquire to Retire (A2R), and other accounting functions. Reporting directly to the SVP Accounting, the role has primary functional ownership for global general ledger (GL) including journal entries, reconciliations, global fixed assets, and other accounting functions, while providing overall leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the entire shared services model.

The position is accountable for supporting the implementation of process improvement software Floqast and setting strategy, making daily tactical decisions, ensuring that the shared services teams deliver quality service and operational excellence, maintaining strong internal controls and governance, and driving transformation across GL processes in support of the company’s global business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Global Financial Shared Services Ownership

  • Direct and optimize the global GL shared services team, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries, reconciliations, closing activities and reporting.
  • Develop and enforce global accounting policies and procedures to maintain consistency across regions.
  • Drive automation and process improvements within the GL function to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to reduce the close cycle timeline.
  • Partner with IT and Ffinance transformation teams to implement ERP enhancements and standardization initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs for shared services performance and continuously improve service delivery.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and mentor a high-performing shared services team.
  • Collaborate with global finance leaders, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a key liaison between regional finance teams and corporate headquarters.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including global shared services management.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local accounting standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O an advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing global accounting operations and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced global environment.
