Description
Magna is embarking on a multi-year transformation to establish a Global Business Services (GBS) model for Finance. The first milestone is the implementation of a GBS pilot in Eastern Europe, focused on transactional accounting processes (AP, AR, T&E).
We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented leader to drive this pilot and help shape Magna’s long-term GBS strategy across three regions. This role will work closely with Finance stakeholders across Magna to ensure successful implementation and define the roadmap for future GBS development. The ideal candidate brings deep process expertise, transformation & automation experience, and a global mindset.
The position is #hybrid work environment , 3 days office 2 days remote per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and stabilization of the Eastern European GBS pilot, coordinating efforts with internal teams and external consultants
- Drive process mapping, harmonization, and efficiency initiatives for processes transitioned from sending entities, ensuring optimization within the GBS environment
- Champion standardization and automation of AP, AR, and T&E processes, expanding into additional finance processes as GBS evolves
- Co-develop Magna’s Finance GBS strategy, including location planning, service scope, and governance
- Collaborate with IT, HR, and Finance stakeholders to align systems, processes, and organizational structures
- Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance frameworks for GBS operations
- Lead change management and communication initiatives across GBS locations and stakeholder groups
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 8–12 years of experience in Finance, Shared Services, or transformation roles
- Strong knowledge of core Finance processes relevant to GBS (AP, AR, T&E, etc.) and global finance operations
- Proven experience in SSC/GBS setup, process harmonization, and cross-functional coordination
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
