About the Client
Our client is a global workforce solutions provider headquartered in the United States, offering services across HR, payroll, staffing, talent acquisition, and workforce automation. With operations across North America, EMEA, and APAC, the client is expanding its offshore shared services capabilities to support rapid global growth.\
The Director, Global Business Services will lead the client’s shared services operations in the Philippines and be responsible for overseeing end-to-end service delivery, operational excellence, compliance, and scaling of a high-performing regional team.
Role Overview
This leadership position will oversee and scale a Shared Services Center based in the Philippines, delivering operational support across HR, payroll, invoicing, customer service, and technology functions. You will be responsible for P&L ownership, service delivery oversight, team leadership, and process optimization. This is a strategic role suited for a senior leader with experience managing workforce solutions operations and driving high-quality, compliant service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the Philippine GBS center across core business functions.
- Lead recruitment, training, and development of shared services personnel to meet growth targets.
- Own the Philippines P&L, resource planning, and budget management.
Process & Service Delivery
- Establish, monitor, and enforce KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards across service lines.
- Implement scalable operational processes, SOPs, and controls aligned with global delivery goals.
- Ensure business continuity and client satisfaction through consistent and high-quality execution.
Client Support & Program Implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new client implementations and solution rollouts.
- Serve as an operational liaison between the offshore center, client teams, and global leadership.Provide
- hands-on support during critical transitions and client escalations.
Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure full compliance with Philippine labor laws, employment
- regulations, and data privacy standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and local authorities as needed.
- Maintain audit-ready systems and processes for payroll, invoicing, and personnel data.
Qualification & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience leading shared services operations within HR, staffing, or workforce solutions industries.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor law and regulatory compliance.
- P&L ownership and strategic planning experience.
- Proven ability to scale service delivery teams and implement operational improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of senior leadership experience in workforce solutions or BPO/shared services environments.
- Experience with VMS/MSP platforms, HRIS, or ERP systems.
- Startup or greenfield operations experience a plus.Background working with U.S. or multinational
- clients.
Language & Communication Skills
- Fluent in English & filipino (verbal and written)
- Strong business writing, presentation, and client-facing communication skills in both English and filipino
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio)
- Ability to quickly learn and operate proprietary systems and cloud-based tools
