Description
The primary role is to make direct contributions to client’s team by assisting client through the setting up or expanding shared services across various competency like IT, Finance, HR etc. The role will entail advising clients on operating model, driving technology led transformation programs, sourcing strategy and vendor portfolio optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple complex technology led or VMO/GBS related transformation programs/IT Outsourcing Programs
- Good working knowledge of Contract management, contract performance and governance, GIC and shared services operating models
- Lead validations of SOWs focusing aspects including retained vs outsourced organization design, dependencies, RACI, risks, etc.
- Leading discussions with 3PSP including all contract partners and sub-supplements
- Transition and transformation plan validations for contracting activities
- Obtaining signoffs and agreements with various teams (design, PMO local process leads) at the proposal phase
- Alignment with countries and regions in scope on the SLAs – targets, dependencies, etc.
- Support in discussions with central design teams and businesses with respect to charges (Billing entities, Currencies), SLAs, etc.
- Providing inputs on governance where needed
- Provide inputs to negotiating positions and negotiation strategy for geographies
- Support in negotiation as required to get commercially acceptable, agreed contracts
- Establish and optimize best practices for contracting, negotiations, vendor services implementation and ongoing performance monitoring and management
- Act as a subject matter expert, and contribute to the contracting and negotiation activities
- Manage, build and effectively leverage client relationships
- Assist leadership to take strategic decisions
- Leverage the standardized global program structure tools, templates and methodologies and draw learnings from other geographies
- Provide benchmarks and support as necessary for the various regions in global outsourcing program during the engagement
- Review of the current contracts of suppliers relevant to the services lines and evaluate opportunities to integrate with the new contracts
- All commercials related to consulting engagements
- Mentor and lead the team for the same
- Program Manage technology led transformation programs
- Work with internal and client teams to develop and implement work plan
- Analyse technology/process footprint of shared service centres and identify ways to expand the reach and control
- Understand and analyse impact of various technologies in FMCG space such as Supply Chain technology, Procurement technologies, Cloud etc. and assist the shared service centres in setting up an operating model to drive programs involving such technologies.
- Work closely and collaboratively with teams to analyse client operations, gather data, brainstorm potential options, and make recommendation
- Conduct appropriate market research and analysis to provide insights to client team
Qualification & Requirements
- A strong and demonstrated interest in consulting specially in thinking through large and complex exercises.
- Prior experience in driving client engagements and programs. Experience in dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis and managing client interactions independently.
- Experience of executing technology led transformation programs.
- Past experience of service delivery through vendor management.
- Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework. MBA preferred
- Strong advanced excel skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor
- Willingness and ability to take initiative and learn independently
- Expertise in one or more share services functions such as Finance, HR, Procurement, IT operations/ processes is preferred
- Exposure to Vendor mgmt. strategy, Operationalizing vendor management operations is a plus
- Good understanding of DevOps/Agile, ADM methodology, familiarity with IT infrastructure considerations, Data center operations, cloud etc. is a plus
- Proficient user of Microsoft suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
