Description

We are seeking an operationally focused Director, Finance Shared Services to join our International Finance team. The ideal candidate must possess experience working within the EMEA region and have 10+ years financial management and a minimum of five years in a managerial role.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance Shared Services the successful candidate will lead both the Financial Accounting Function of the EMEA Finance Shared Service and Integration and Change Management within EMEA Finance Shared Services.

Key Responsibilities

As our Director, Finance Shared Services EMEA- you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Develop and execute the EMEA Shared Services strategy aligned with global finance objectives.
  • Manages the performance and development of the Financial Accounting Shared Service Team in Galway, Ireland.
  • Oversees Record to Report processes across a diverse portfolio of EMEA legal entities.
  • Responsibility for delivering full monthly management accounts for each country in line with corporate calendar.
  • Establishment of processes to ensure strict adherence to statutory reporting and taxation timelines.
  • Manage external and internal audit requirements for all EMEA companies under IFRS or local GAAP.
  • Ownership of Balance Sheet review process in line with corporate deadlines.
  • Develops and implements a roadmap of systems enhancements, process improvements and integrations across all EMEA FSS functions.
  • Relationships
    • Developing good working relationships with all finance functions as well as the non- finance departments
    • Act as the primary point of contact in EMEA accounting for all regional and global stakeholders
    • Partner with global process owners to align regional operations with global standards
  • Customer Service
    • Build and maintain a strong customer centric culture within the financial reporting team
    • Ensure high standard of service delivery to all stakeholders
  • Process & Systems
    • Drives continuous improvement in the Shared Services team and leads projects that support global consistency of best practice
    • This includes standardization of processes and practices across business units, culture and implementation of corporate systems
    • Ensuring processes are robust and compliant with corporate standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualification & Requirements

Your Experience and Background include:

  • 10+ years of financial management experience in multinational corporations, including at least 5+ years of managerial experience across
  • Proven track record of process improvement delivery within a shared services environment
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA statutory and tax requirements.
  • Experience leading projects and integrations
  • Proven track record in process transformation, automation, and change management
  • Performance management, team development and resource allocation experience
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and presentations skills
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to think strategically and effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
