Key Responsibilities
Evaluate the existing Finance Shared Service team and create a structure that will meet the needs of our growing business by delivering the following services centrally:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable and Billing
- Month End system close and reconciliation
- Project budget, forecast, and task loading into Oracle
- Timesheet compliance and reporting
- Payroll support (future)
- Create global standardized policies and procedures and ensure compliance
- Develop KPIs and monitor resources for utilization
- Communicate KPI targets and actuals with the business on a minimum monthly basis
- Manage escalations and develop solutions to underperforming areas
- Collaborate with the business to continually improve processes and identify new initiatives that can be centralized
- Continually monitor the level of resources and workload and ensure it’s maintained at a healthy balance
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee’s skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee’s current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Qualification & Requirements
Skills
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards with effective methods to implement, monitor and mitigate risks
- Natural ability to build and sustain a motivated team whilst promoting accountability and performance excellence
- Customer driven; effectively build and maintain relationships with key members of the business and develop trusted networks
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and motivation to deliver continual improvements
- Oracle Fusion and project accounting experience would be beneficial
Knowledge/Qualification/Training/Certification
- University Degree
- Chartered Accountant
Communication
- Excels at effectively communicating with the shared service team in a vibrant office environment
- Outstanding at creating presentations to communicate digitally to the global business leaders
