Description
The Director, Equipment Management, Operations will provide corporate guidance and support for the division teams building out and maintaining the ESS (Equipment Shared Service) program within HCA Supply Chain. This role will collaborate on a normal basis with various service line leaders across HCA as well as consistent communication with supply chain peers within the divisions to manage and sustain day to day operations within the program and management of MME (mobile medical equipment.) This role will also work with their direct reports outlining and guiding specific functions of their area and providing proper leadership and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
The Director, Equipment Management, Operations will provide corporate guidance and support for the division teams building out and maintaining the ESS (Equipment Shared Service) program within HCA Supply Chain. This role will collaborate on a normal basis with various service line leaders across HCA as well as consistent communication with supply chain peers within the divisions to manage and sustain day to day operations within the program and management of MME (mobile medical equipment.) This role will also work with their direct reports outlining and guiding specific functions of their area and providing proper leadership and expectations.
- Oversee rollout of ESS program across the enterprise comprising of people, process, and technology (RTLS) that will create a standard operating model within the organization
- Provide leadership and strategic direction in equipment utilization, placement, governance, and availability through comprehensive metrics and analytics
- Performs on site reviews, training, and assessments of operations through program implementation as well as post go live
- Leads development and deployment of Policies and Procedures related to equipment management as well as collaborating with internal audit when needed on specific P&P’s
- Develops and implements KPIs that will be used to monitor performance and opportunity within the organization
- Manages key equipment rental vendor relationships to maximize value of partnership
- Maintains continuous communication with division supply chain teams providing proper support and guidance to ensure consistency around work standards
- Constantly work to identify process improvements and identification of best practices that can be built into the equipment management shared services model
- Lead integration and deployment of ServiceNow equipment management modules across the enterprise
- Partner with corporate and supply chain IT&S in requirement gathering and development of key systems that directly impact day to day work within the hospitals
- Provide guidance in support of equipment depot implementations as well as create and maintain standards for proper sustainability of the equipment depots
- Member of the supply chain emergency preparedness team tied to HCA Enterprise Emergency Operations Center (EEOC) to support in disaster preparedness/readiness and mitigation planning
- Maintain effective communication upstream with leadership as well as downstream with direct reports
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates comprehensive job knowledge.
- Attends in-service presentations, and completes mandatory education week, including but not limited to, infection control, patient safety, quality improvements, MSDS and OSHA standards.

Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or similar
- 7+ years of Medical Equipment Management Operations (Capital Planning, Biomed)
- 7+ years of Healthcare / Hospital Operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
- Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement – Preferred
