Director – Engineering Services

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and drive the Engineering Services strategy aligned with global business, engineering, and operational priorities
  • Establish scalable service portfolios, operating models, governance frameworks, and capability roadmaps across specialized engineering domains
  • Drive organizational transformation through strong operational and strategic leadership aligned with engineering and broader corporate priorities
  • Partner with Product Management, Segment Engineering, PMOs, IT, and global stakeholders to align service delivery with evolving engineering needs

Engineering Services Excellence

  • Lead Engineering Services delivery with a focus on quality, responsiveness, scalability, and execution excellence
  • Define standardized service delivery models, including intake management, prioritization, SLAs, and governance mechanisms
  • Establish tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve engineering effectiveness and consistency
  • Provide technical oversight across engineering service domains aligned with global standards

Process Excellence & Operational Enablement

  • Embed an operational excellence and KPI-driven performance culture across Engineering Services teams
  • Drive standardized and process-driven execution practices to improve productivity, scalability, and service quality
  • Improve operational efficiency through metrics-driven planning, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives

Building & Leading Teams

  • Build and develop high-performing Engineering Services teams across specialized engineering domains
  • Drive workforce planning, organization design, capability development, and leadership pipeline strengthening aligned with business growth
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and customer focus
  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration across Product Engineering, Project Engineering, Digital Engineering, PMOs, and regional engineering teams globally

Stakeholder Collaboration & & Service Enablement

  • Act as the primary GCC Engineering Services leader for global stakeholders across engineering and business functions
  • Drive strong service orientation and stakeholder alignment to ensure responsiveness, value delivery, and customer satisfaction across global teams
  • Partner with engineering organizations globally to enable faster, higher-quality, and more scalable engineering outcomes
  • Represent Engineering Services in executive reviews, operational governance forums, and strategic discussions

Qualification & Requirements

That said, here’s what will help you succeed:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 15+ years of professional experience, including significant leadership experience in global engineering environments
  • Proven experience building and scaling specialized Engineering Services organizations or shared engineering capabilities
  • Strong technical grounding in one or more engineering services domains such as simulation, data management, documentation, or related areas
  • Experience defining service portfolios, operating models, governance frameworks, and scalable delivery practices
  • Strong understanding of process-driven execution, standardization, continuous improvement, and metrics-led performance management
  • Ability to lead effectively in a complex, matrixed, global organization
  • A collaborative leader with strong executive presence, stakeholder management capability, and service-oriented mindset
