Description
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is searching for a Director, Employee Connection, EMEA-UK to join the People & Culture (P&C) Services team. This role will manage WBD’s P&C Employee Connection and Workforce Administration (WFA) onsite team members based in the UK, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, France, Hungary, and Italy and who support People & Culture (P&C) Services and (P&C) Partners throughout Europe and the UK with position and employee data management. This role oversees day-to-day processes, recommends and builds processes as part of the continuous improvement journey, participates as a subject matter expert in meetings and on special projects around WFA and EC, and assists internal and external clients and P&C Partners with questions and concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day EC and WFA activities for the teams based in the UK and throughout Europe.
- Participates as a member of the global GBS P&C Ops management team and assist in setting goals, processes & procedures across the global teams (Hyderabad, India, Mexico City, Mexico, Warsaw, Poland, and the US among others).
- Creates & drives individual team objectives & expectations that align with overall division and Company goals.
- Act as primary support for various P&C teams in the UK and EMEA across WBD and provide secondary support to US, Latam and Asia Pacific regional teams.
- Reviews, analyzes and audits data for completeness and accuracy. Run and distribute monthly reports & Ad/Hoc reports to divisional & P&C management as needed.
- Ensures the team meets service level agreements and is responsive to client needs.
- Ensure processes achieve full compliance with policy and control environment including data privacy and SOX, responds to requests for audits and government inspections.
- Mentor and provide guidance to team members related to work performance and opportunities to gain additional skills.
- Host team meetings to ensure all team members are aligned with processes.
- Coordinate with technology team to implement and/or research new ideas for system enhancements or troubleshoot system issues.
- Make decisions/recommendations around system configuration of foundational HCM data, keeping in mind how any system changes impact the day-to-day activities of the team, including partnering with regional leads to understand regional process nuances.
- Act as final escalation before WFA Lead to respond to requests for assistance and guidance on processes from internal and external peers and clients.
- Manage team members who process Data Correction requests from field or because of internal audits. Work with P&C to identify issues and make corrections to employee data. Counsel P&C when correction may impact other employee data such as vacation accrual, pension, benefits, bonus etc.
- Represent UK and EMEA WFA & EC teams as subject matter expert in meetings and during large & small projects.
- Assist with Change Management efforts as the result of process change, including the creation of process documentation.
- Complete Performance reviews for direct reports to include feedback on performance objectives and expectations.
- Partner with upper management across the organization on various projects, initiatives and on day-to-day support/escalations.
- Help team plan & prioritize duties & project support work.
- Find opportunities for process improvement/efficiencies and implement as appropriate.
Qualification & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10 years Human Resources, including 5+ years in Shared Services/Delivery in a global environment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use confidential information appropriately.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with an MBA preferred, or equivalent combination of work experience required.
- Language Requirements: Must be fluent in English. Additional languages a plus
- Leadership: Demonstrated strategic leadership in multinational operations. Proven ability to lead, engage, and build positive team cultures.
- Technical Skills: Experience with HR technology systems, preferably Workday and ServiceNow. Strong skills required with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Relationship Management: Strong relationship and negotiation skills. Experienced in building and maintaining effective collaborations. Recognized for reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
- Process Management: Skilled in process management, improvements and problem solving, taking initiative to own work projects/tasks. Ability to manage ad hoc high-volume activities in a fast-paced environment independently.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, time management, prioritization, delegation and follow-up skills. Has strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and customer service skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly at all levels and in English. Must have flexible and adaptable attitude to cope with fast changing and complex environment. Persuasive and persistent in driving change.
- Global Perspective: International experience is required, specifically in a role supporting the US, EMEA and UK along with willingness and ability to travel Internationally.
- Leadership Presence: Strong business and technical acumen with an inspiring leadership presence. Demonstrates 360-degree leadership, balancing cost, productivity, and timeliness in executing strategy.
