Description

As the organizations sets on a path for further growth, they are looking to bring in a transformational finance leader to drop change within their accounts payable and accounts receivable organizations. A people first leader who can bring change within AP and AR is necessary as the organization sets out to meet some aggressive growth targets in the next few years. They are searching for a strategic yet hands on leader who can challenge the status-quo and find opportunities for automation / general process improvements.

Director Accounts Payable

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee of the AP, AR, Credit and general ledger functions within the finance shared services department.
  • Re-engineer and optimize processes in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable leveraging automation tools that drive efficiency and accuracy; Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify and/or assist in researching solutions to accounting issues related to AP/AR and GL
  • Support monthly close process (i.e. create journal entries, reconcile accounts)

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in accounting, finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of demonstrated success in a corporate accounting setting with proven process improvement track record
  • Minimum 5 years experience directly managing a team of finance and accounting professionals
  • Proficient in financial systems, ERP software, and advanced Excel skills
  • Expertise in AP, AR, and general ledger processes, with a focus on automation, efficiency and continuous improvement
