Description

This role is pivotal in bridging strategy and execution, ensuring seamless delivery of shared services across air, sea, road operations, customs brokerage, and control tower functions.

Deputy Director – Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Design and implement strategies to optimize shared services operations(i.e., air, sea, road operations, customs brokerage and control tower), aligning them with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services that meet business needs.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee daily operations of shared services centers, ensuring efficiency and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement industry best practices.

Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of managers and cross-functional professionals.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for shared services functions.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery aligns with expectations.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational challenges and drive effective resolutions.

Compliance and Risk Mitigation:

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Technology Integration:

  • Leverage cutting-edge technology to automate and enhance shared services delivery.
  • Oversee the implementation of new tools and systems to improve operational efficiency.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years in shared services, operations, or similar roles, with a proven track record of leading large, cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or relevant functional certifications (e.g., HR, finance) are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CW1, workflow automation tools, and analytics platforms. Strong understanding of performance metrics and SLA management.
  • Soft Skills: Strategic thinker with exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal abilities.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
