Description

This position will be part of the North America Beverage organization. This position contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company as a Sales Leader to ensure that exceptional operational services are provided by his/her organization to sales employees across multiple teams and markets. This role will lead a team that will deliver services including sales reporting, customer management, reporting & analytics, and customer service & delivery support. Role will be responsible to train, lead and manage a team of ~30 associates and 3 functional team leaders. This role also provides meaningful insights and recommendations to a cross functional sales leadership teams across commercial planning, category management, customer service & delivery and Sales teams in our our Sector and/or Division teams. In addition to people management, sales leader will additionally continuously identify opportunities and implement processes to improve quality and timeliness of team output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Reporting & Analytics Hub teams in delivering sales services around sales reporting, customer management, reporting & analytics, and customer service & delivery support.
  • Provide on the job guidance, stewardship to the delivery teams on all activities listed in the sales shared service catalogue and be personally involved in issue resolution and escalation; insure that the service catalogue for shared services is strictly adhered to
  • Scale up operation in each capability with business growth both within existing scope as well as new areas of opportunity
  • Staff teams for success including key functional hub leads
  • Share learnings with other Cluster Sales Leads and adapt best practices across capabilities wherever possible
  • Ensure that each Sales capabilities stays connected with business by integrating front and back end services
  • Monitor and report shared services performance to key stakeholders
  • Drive comprehensive change management within Business, emphasizing the need for change and the role that each individual plays
  • Setup the sales shared services with leading practices and policies e.g. delivery platforms, remuneration structure, IT enablement, service levels and evolution of sales shared services scope
  • Facilitate and assist Capability Team Leads for a smooth transition of processes from retained organization to Global Sales shared services (future scope could also include other support functions/activities)
  • Overall accountability of process design, innovation and continuous improvement of the processes mandated with an end-to-end view to drive results on three parameters – Effectiveness, Efficiency and agility for the local businesses

People Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate 3 functional team leaders and a team of ~ 35 associates
  • Facilitate training across his/her team, as well as other support functions and groups
  • Set individual targets with the sector and/or Division teams, and track goals
  • Monitor SLAs and ensure timelines are met; develop and analyze key business drivers to provide insights to the functional head
  • Accurate and timely generation of management reporting and dashboards for performance analysis
  • Organize weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews for his/her associates to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency, effectiveness and overall integration of the work with markets
  • Actively conduct on-going review of operational services to drive agility and effectiveness
  • Drive comprehensive change management (identifying the need for change and the role each individual play)
  • Assist Sector Sales Lead in developing on-going training and capability plans for associates in his/her charge
  • Represent his/her Teams’ markets in meetings with internal beverage leadership teams, steering groups and other client functions
  • Responsible for the overall monitoring of sales back-office function; provide leadership from strategy to execution
  • Ensure career growth opportunities for associates and engage in people planning and resource allocation activities

Qualification & Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales/Sales Management/Commercial
  • Bachelor’s in commerce/business administration/finance, Master’s degree is a plus
  • Prior Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company experience required
  • Category management / Customer management capabilities
  • Previous experience as a people leader
  • 3+ years development experience related to Data Analytics and Reporting including the usage of relevant tools and software packages. Knowledge on cloud-based data analytics platforms
  • Propensity to learn PepsiCo software systems
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Ability to provide superior customer service
  • Best-in-class time management skills, ability to multitask, set priorities and plan
  • Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment
