Description

The HII Corporate Senior Director of Enterprise Technology Services will lead the operations of technology services shared across the HII enterprise. Based out of the McLean, VA office, and reporting to the VP Enterprise Technology Services, this role will oversee critical IT functions, including enterprise applications, platform services, collaboration tools, service management, and network infrastructure, ensuring optimization, modernization, and continuous support in a 24×7 operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Provide leadership and vision for enterprise IT services, ensuring alignment with each HII divisions and associated stakeholders. Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the IT Shared Services organization to support the company’s overall business goals. Foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the IT Shared Services team.

Service Delivery & Operations

  • Oversee the delivery of enterprise IT services, including infrastructure, cloud services, end-user support, service desk, collaboration tools, identity and access management, and enterprise applications. Ensure IT services meet or exceed agreed-upon service levels, with a focus on availability, performance, security, and user satisfaction.

Governance & Compliance

  • Establish governance frameworks to manage shared services performance, risk, and compliance. Ensure that IT operations comply with regulatory requirements, security standards, and company policies. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure enterprise systems and services are secure and resilient.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the IT Shared Services budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business priorities. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies through process improvements, automation, and vendor management.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT Shared Services team members, promoting professional growth and career development. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and innovation. Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure service quality, cost control, and strategic alignment.

Qualification & Requirements

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration plus a minimum of 10 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience, or a related field OR Master’s degree and 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM frameworks (ITIL, COBIT) and service delivery best practices.
  • Experience with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback models.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience presenting and communicating with Senior/Executive staff and/or Board Level entities preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, and other ITSM platforms.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and business continuity planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, service management, and shared services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry is a plus.
  • PMP certification is desirable.
  • ITIL certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
