Description

Develop, implement and maintain the organization’s financial policies and controls. Establish fiscal controls. Prepare financial reports under generally accepted accounting principles, support the management of financial matters and long-term planning, based on the organization’s strategy and policies. Coordinate internal and external financial audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an integral member of the Mexico executive management team.
  • Design, establish and maintain an organizational and staff structure to effectively achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies. Staff Functions/Roles:
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of statutory financial statements under generally accepted accounting principles in each country in the region.
  • Ensure that an effective internal control environment is maintained in compliance with legal regulations, including Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), Anti-Corruption Laws and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), among others.
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate financial results.
  • Coordinate with operational and business leaders to drive organizational improvements.
  • Lead the development of Shared Services management towards a sustainable organization with operational processes aligned with the established strategy.
  • Oversee Mexico’s tax strategy and management.
  • Oversee the preparation and payment of Mexico payrolls.
  • Ensure financial management and operations are compatible with the Organization’s Context of Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ASME NCA 3850, ISO 45001 or equivalent).

Qualification & Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 15 years of experience in the financial area in manufacturing companies
  • Very good communicator, proactive
  • Advanced English essential
  • Learning capacity.
  • Good management of costs, internal and external audit, as well as accounting
  • Highly desirable SAP
  • HFM Software
