Description

Our client, a manufacturing company located in the southern suburbs of Chicago, is seeking a Controller to join their team. This person will work with Senior Leadership and Business Units to drive strategic growth, analyzing market trends and providing insights on key performance metrics, ensures system efficiency and data integrity, supporting strategic execution and managing a team.

Controller

Key Responsibilities

  • Streamlining and enhancing closing and reporting cycles.
  • Developing and overseeing policies and procedures to guide financial decisions.
  • Ensuring adherence to current financial controls.
  • Analyzing and presenting balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow to leadership.
  • Managing annual audits with external auditors.
  • Preparing budgets, forecasts, and reports, while ensuring timely journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Overseeing closing processes, billing, invoicing, inventory accounting, expenses, reimbursements, and payroll.
  • Managing investments, fixed asset records, and accounting staff in a shared services environment.
  • Documenting processes to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Manufacturing or product based industry experience
  • Large company experience
  • Strong GAAP experience
  • Management experience
  • CPA or Master’s, required
