Description
The Continuous Improvement & Capability Lead will play a key role in leading Community of Practice (CoP) events and initiatives, championing our governance and assurance frameworks, managing our workforce and working closely with our EPMO team to continuously improve reporting tools and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment:
- Support collaboration and alignment with other Delivery Practice Areas to ensure integrated processes, frameworks and tools.
Effective Resource Management:
- Support the allocation and management of resources to initiatives ensuring optimal resourcing and capacity planning. Balance supply and demand proactively, addressing gaps and surpluses.
- Champion a result orientated culture, holding themselves and others accountable for delivery outcomes.
- Support the Manager in developing and maintaining a comprehensive view of practice skills and capabilities to support strategic resourcing decisions.
- Provide the Manager with regular Workforce Management reporting (allocation, capacity, supply & demand etc.)
- Support recruitment activities from advertisement through to onboarding.
High Quality Delivery:
- Provide support and mentorship for practice members to support career development
- Undertake regular quality assurance activities that champion consistency in deliverables through standardised governance, process, templates and best practice.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement that will drive innovative techniques and integrated tools to enhance delivery effectiveness including standardised use of JIRA, confluence, PPM and other tools.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Lead Community of Practice events and initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including Portfolio Directors, Practice Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Business Owners and SME’s.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Agile Certification
- Delivery experience across both Agile and Waterfall
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in la scrum master/project management/information technology role.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading cross-functional groups.
- Experience in defining and executing strategy and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, cloud technologies and cybersecurity.
- Strong skills in building relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
