Description
Delavan Holdings is hiring a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology strategy and execution across a diversified, multi-entity organization spanning automotive retail, hospitality, logistics, industrial services, and professional services.
This is a hands-on, onsite executive role for a business-minded technology leader who uses technology to drive efficiency, scalability, profitability, and long-term growth. This is not a consulting or advisory position.
As CTO, you will own enterprise technology strategy and execution, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, usable, and aligned with real business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise IT strategy across multiple business units and operating models
- Partner with executive and operational leaders to align technology with business goals
- Use technology to drive operational efficiency, scalability, and profitability
- Identify opportunities for automation, data, and AI to reduce manual work and improve decision-making
- Design and implement shared services for identity, security, data, and integrations
- Establish standards for software lifecycle management, vendor governance, and system ownership
- Improve identity and access management, including role-based access and single sign-on (SSO)
- Lead modernization in frontline, non-technical, and high-turnover environments
- Drive adoption through practical improvements that make work easier
- Build, lead, and scale a right-sized internal IT organization
- Manage vendors, contracts, budgets, and technology investments
Qualification & Requirements
In your first year, success will include:
- A clear, actionable enterprise technology roadmap
- Better use of existing systems and selective introduction of new tools
- Reduced friction and improved scalability across business units
- Stronger security, access controls, and software governance
- Technology that supports growth without disrupting operations
- Leadership confidence that IT is helping move the business forward
Required
- Senior technology leadership experience (CTO, VP of IT, Head of Technology, or similar)
- Experience in multi-entity, holding-company, or complex operational environments
- Proven success modernizing fragmented or immature technology ecosystems
- Direct ownership of execution and outcomes (not advisory-only roles)
- Strong knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM, POS, WMS)
- Experience with systems integration, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and infrastructure
Preferred
- Automotive retail, manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, or services
- Family-owned or private-equity-backed organizations
- Seasonal or frontline-heavy workforces
- Leading change where adoption and usability mattered more than perfection
