Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. This includes financial planning, reporting, risk management, and ensuring the company’s financial health and stability. The CFO will be a key advisor to the CEO and other senior executives, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and manage the company’s financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, both internally and externally.
  • Oversee compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage the annual audit process.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage.

Treasury Management:

  • Manage cash flow, investments, and debt.
  • Maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Optimize working capital.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to the organization.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Advise the CEO and other senior executives on financial matters.

Team Management:

  • Lead and develop the finance team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Oversee financial software and systems.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Good to have Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Experience with relevant financial software and ERP systems.
  • Experience in the company’s industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
