Description

Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, as the CEE Financial Control Manager, you will lead the team responsible for the financial controlling of the markets in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.

You will manage the finance and accounting operations for Flora CEE entities, including performing month-end close accounting, management, and financial report preparation. You will help maintain a strong control environment and provide insight and support to key stakeholders, enabling effective decision-making to achieve business strategy. You will also be involved in ad hoc projects as required.

CEE Senior Financial Control Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 financial controllers and 1 financial analyst.
  • Take responsibility for the Balance Sheet and P&L reporting of your cluster.
  • Partner with (senior) stakeholders, including commercial finance, treasury, tax, group finance, and HR.
  • Monitor and coach the Shared Services team and support the implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Own the month-end process and cash flow forecasting for the group.
  • With your team, ensure tax and statutory compliance and reporting.
  • Oversee the statutory reporting and audit process, in conjunction with external auditors.
  • Review VAT, CIT, and transfer pricing returns in conjunction with internal and external tax partners.
  • Support in implementing business development projects aligned with the Future of Finance program.

Qualification & Requirements

  • You have several years of progressive experience in a finance position and a master’s degree in finance or accountancy.
  • You can perform and adapt quickly to frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • To contribute directly to process structuring and optimization, experience with SAP/PBC is a strong advantage.
  • You have extensive experience working on month-end close activities for multiple international entities.
  • You have a strong accounting background and are confident with IAS and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS 15, 16).
  • You have proven exposure to end-to-end statutory accounts preparation.
  • You are highly skilled in finance-related IT, with advanced Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills.
  • You have proven ability to work in a matrix organization (cross-functional) with multiple stakeholders and can manage upwards as the “team expert” in certain areas.
  • You are delivery-focused, with a high degree of ownership and a positive, growth-oriented mindset. You lead your team by example.
  • You easily build relationships on a cross-functional level and with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You speak Polish and English fluently.
