Description

The Associate Director, Procurement Shared Services (PSS) Downstream Operations will manage and optimize the Global Procurement Contact Center and Global Purchase Order (PO) processes, with a focus on driving growth strategy for the Contact Center. This role’s objectives include ensuring front-line procurement teams receive reliable support, streamlining global purchase transaction processes, and maintaining high quality standards by gathering feedback and providing visibility to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive growth strategy for expanding Global Procurement Contact Center from US to global markets, ensuring scalability and alignment with global business objectives
  • Spearhead optimization of purchase order processes, focusing on streamlining workflows to enhance systems
  • Ensure seamless integration of back-office operations processes, devise training and support necessary to facilitate successful adoption
  • Oversee end-to-end purchase order processes (including generation, transmission, tracking, modification, and closure) while integrating best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Lead and guide global procurement contact center teams by providing strategic direction and ensuring efficient resource management
  • Establish key performance indicators for back-office in collaboration with functional leadership, and develop action plans to enhance performance by setting measurable goals and implementing targeted strategies for improvement
  • Oversee processes to gather feedback and provide visibility to internal customers and support functions, and managing continuous improvement of capabilities to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Lead and nurture a team of specialists by setting ambitious performance targets, providing tailored coaching, and evaluating team performance, fostering culture of excellence and innovation
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration and forge strategic partnerships with other teams to ensure alignment and maximize outcomes
  • Serve as subject matter expert on back-office operations, providing guidance and insights to internal teams and relevant stakeholders groups to ensure optimal performance and efficiency

Qualification & Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related degrees; MBA/MS preferred
  • 8-10 years of Procurement experience, including over 10 years in a leadership role; pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred
  • 5+ years of Source-to-Pay experience preferred, specifically expertise in back-office functions such as purchase order processes and helpdesk operations within a global context
  • Proven track record in leading process improvement and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in budget management and operational oversight, ensuring adherence to standards and priorities
  • 5+ years of experience working with Source-to-Pay systems (i.e. Coupa, SAP S/4HANA)
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and strategic thinking combined with a solution-oriented mindset, enabling creative approaches that challenge the status quo and clear communication at all organizational levels
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management abilities, effectively navigating complex projects and diverse team dynamics
  • Exceptional soft skills and emotional intelligence, facilitating empathetic interactions, effective communication, and robust relationship-building
  • Impactful executive functioning abilities and autonomous work ethic, maintaining efficient performance in challenging situations and building consensus in decision-making
