We are looking for an Associate Director, Operations Excellence – Source to Pay to join our Finance Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. You will be joining our Finance Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance GBS supports various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. Commercial Analytics, a part of Finance GBS, was founded in 2013 with the goal of providing best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global organization.

Associate Director – Operations Excellence – S2P

Key Responsibilities

As Associate Director, Operations Excellence – S2P, you will:

  • Lead operations excellence initiatives, ensuring high-quality service delivery within agreed timelines and standards.
  • We’re looking for a hands-on leader who will deliver output both through the team and by own self (without delegation). A variety of tasks must be handled independently and often in parallel. Consequently, profound understanding of the business and local rules is required.
  • Align priorities and strategies within Corporate Procurement to achieve business objectives and drive process improvements.
  • Implement standardized processes and proactively resolve issues while anticipating customer needs and providing solutions.
  • Drive innovation through digital tools, automation, and AI to enhance operational efficiency and global alignment.
  • Develop and engage teams through coaching, goal setting, and succession planning, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Qualification & Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who can tick off most of the following:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Finance/Business Administration, International Business, IT Administration, or alike from a top-tier university.
  • Minimum 10-15 years in leadership roles focused on Operations and Process Excellence, and running and managing users facing workflows and solutions through shared services setup, within a multinational corporation, with experience leading teams directly and through peers.Experience in defining global process standards and designing solutions to deliver them is a key advantage
  • Knowledge and experience using the latest tech and workflows; Proven track record of taking Operational excellence to the next level and utilizing the latest technological solutions including AI; Experience in leading design, testing and implementation of an AP workflow is a must-have
  • Hands on experience in running and managing S2P or I2P operations with proven track record of delivering significant KPI jumps by modifying processes and taking non-value-added work out.
  • Expertise in the I2P process, and significant knowledge of other S2P processes are key enablers
