Description

An exciting opportunity has become available within Alder Hey’s Digital Service – iDigital. We are looking for a talented, highly motivated Associate Director to spearhead our Digital Transformation, Data and Analytics services.

Associate Director – iDigital

Key Responsibilities

  • the development of strategy and the delivery of all aspects of Digital Programmes, Training, Digital Systems, Data and Analytics, ensuring strong alignment with Trust 2030 Vision Strategy.
  • providing day to day senior leadership for each of the Service Areas, ensuring they function effectively and continuously deliver against the Trust Strategic objectives.
  • Budget holder for the associated service areas, complying with Trust Standard Financial Instructions and delivering cost efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Be a key part of the wider trust Digital leadership to deliver the wider digital objectives in an efficient, effective and safe manner in pursuit of excellence in Health & Social care.
  • Demonstrate excellent communications at all levels, both within and external to the NHS and be able to demonstrate good people management skills in order to manage and direct the support teams under his/her control.
  • Available to participate in the senior leadership on call rota, be the key contact in place for escalation of significant IT issues affecting clinical services. The postholder must be able to make organisation wide decisions relating to emerging emergency situations without reference to senior colleagues as the postholder is the subject matter expert.

Qualification & Requirements

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience in an IT Digital Transformation environment
  • Relevant experience in a management role in same or similar environment ie. broad and complex Digital Transformation including Programmes and Training
  • Proven track record for delivering large scale, complex Digital Programmes
  • Evidence of writing business cases that appraise options, identify risks, benefits, costs and select a preferred solution
