Ownership of the company’s local Financial Statement

Associate Director Finance & Accounting

Key Responsibilities

  • Support controlling of company’s cost centers to ensure OPEX are within budget
  • Ownership of overall F&A shared services team, including day-to-day operations, functional processes in collaboration with GPOs, and policies development
  • Drive employee engagement & retention, support Great Place to Work initiatives
  • Drive Finance & Accounting Excellence via continuous improvement projects & initiatives that contribute to goals achievement and significant business outcomes
  • Oversight of accounting reporting process including application of internal controls
  • Assurance of timeliness & accuracy of monthly & quarterly financial reporting as well as the optimization of financial reporting processes
  • Provide guidance for accounting questions from subsidiaries/other departments & assist in reviewing compliance with accounting standards; representation of accounting department in terms of financial aspects in projects that involve various departments
  • Assurance of integration of new subsidiaries from the finance perspective
  • Leadership & coaching of accounting staff.
  • Direct line management for APEC and NA Accounting Teams, oversight host management for Financial Report team and Internal Quality Auditors
  • Contact for auditors
  • Overall accountable for GL, AR & AP groups & processes
  • Support the local team and other countries/regions such as Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, US, Mexico and Canada

Qualification & Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related course
  • At least 18 years of relevant professional experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of integrity & sensitivity to confidential information
  • IT-affinity (financial software, MS Office)
  • Basic knowledge of business administration; proven managerial knowledge or proven technical expertise
  • Knowledge of own organizational area
  • Execution of managerial tasks or responsibility for a subject area, team or projects
  • Familiarity with Tax and Financial Management Operations in a PEZA (economic zone)
