Key Responsibilities

  • Support the business growth by providing Risk and Compliance advice/expertise in respect of Global Shared Services Center Philippines while efficiently managing resources by operating within approved budget cost for the function.
  • Providing Risk and Compliance-related advice and guidance and recording of the same through the applicable channels or platforms such as Ask Compliance; assist in any associated enhancements if any; and where necessary, challenge the Risk and Compliance-related risk and controls.
  • Keep abreast of the implementation/ revision in the global Risk and Compliance policy and the Compliance Functional Instruction Manual. Review and determine its effects to the Global Shared Services Centers, and where necessary, develop supplemental guidelines and/or bespoke training to aid in communicating the same to the impacted Global Shared Services Center businesses.
  • Support First Line of Defense in their identification and management of Risk and Compliance Risks. As and when consulted, the Risk and Compliance team provides guidance and advice to Global Shared Services Center teams to equip and to help them understand and manage the Risk and Compliance risks and issues.

Qualification & Requirements

  • A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline is desired but not mandatory. Higher qualification not a bar provided aspirations commensurate with the position.
  • Relevant experience in legal, risk, compliance, or general audit within a banking/financial institution.
  • Ability to analyse and aid stakeholders on implementation of complex regulation changes, where applicable.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizing and planning skills, along with the ability to manage teams.
  • Ability to implement training requirements and provide coaching to the team for career and/or personal development.
  • International Compliance Association Certifications or any equivalent external certifications on risk and compliance is an advantage but not requirement.
