Assistant Director, Shared Services Center

Key Responsibilities

Long-term goals for the SSC include the successful incorporation of additional business functions, primarily in the areas of finance, accounting, procurement, facilities and operations management, and human resources into the center to provide expanded and efficient service to the campus, in connection with financial sustainability strategies of the division. The Assistant Director of the Shared Services Center must be a visionary and strategic leader as they will be responsible for establishing and leading a high-performing Shared Services Center ( SSC ) within a higher education institution. This role involves transformative change leadership, the development of innovative solutions, and the seamless integration of service delivery across multiple administrative and support functions. The Assistant Director will focus on optimizing resources, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, all while ensuring alignment with the institution’s mission and values and serving as an influential agent of change. This position will work collaboratively with academic and administrative units and other stakeholders, both at Rutgers University–Camden and centralized divisions of Rutgers University, to deliver efficient, streamlined services that support the strategic goals of the university. Qualification & Requirements

Master’s preferred. Candidates with previous experience in a finance, business or operations leadership role in a four-year state institution of higher education will be considered with priority. Demonstrated successes in a higher education environment will be preferred.
