Description
As the Manager of Fixed Assets and Leasing, you will oversee all Fixed Asset and Lease accounting activities across Asia. Your role will involve leading a team, planning, organizing, reporting, process improvement, and ensuring adherence to Accounting Standards, Policies and Controls. You will ensure accurate and timely transactions through efficient and effective processes related to Fixed Assets and Leasing. You will report directly to the Director of Shared Financial Services, Asia Pacific.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting professionals, overseeing transaction processing, month-end closing activities, account analysis & reconciliations, and internal management reporting. Be the liaison for all internal and external audits.
- Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to all Fixed Asset, Lease, and accounting standards, regulations, finance policies and procedures to maintain a strong compliance and business control environment.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Create efficient, and standardized processes through effective.
- Collaborate with Business, Finance and IT to ensure primary financial systems meet business needs and enforce policies. Communicate with partners, including senior management, to provide updates on financial performance and project progress.
- Team Development: Enhance team engagement and development by providing support, guidance, and training to team members.
- Project Leadership: Lead projects and other responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent education with minimum 8 years of functional experience. CPA, ACCA, or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
- Experience with US GAAP or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and SOX.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in people management and collaborative work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Oracle. Knowledge of QAD is an added advantage.
- Good proficiency in English and Mandarin is a must, Japan or Korean is a plus
