Description

We are seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Record to Report (R2R) with a strong background in accounting and finance, preferably within the Shared Services/GBS space. The candidate should be well-versed in property management and possess an impeccable understanding of financial reporting systems.

AGM – Record to Report

Key Responsibilities

RTR Operations & Compliance

  • Lead the Centre of Excellence (COE) team in preparing standalone financial statements, ledger scrutiny, regulatory reporting, tax reporting, and other general ledger (GL) reporting.
  • Review and finalize standalone financial statements along with notes to accounts for listed entities.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS), Indian GAAP, RCM, and IFC.
  • Track and manage period-end close activities performed by the COE, ensuring adherence to closing calendars and deadlines.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, including cost audits, tax audits, and financial assessments.

Process & Performance Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Business Unit (BU) retained teams at Head Office and SSC.
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and workflow improvements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Develop and report operational metrics, monitor SLAs, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve service delivery.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and mentor a team of RTR professionals, providing guidance on accounting best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor team performance, set objectives, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to drive process excellence and innovation.

Qualification & Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

  • RTR Process Expertise: Strong knowledge of general ledger, financial close, and reporting processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, BPC, SAP FCC, and other finance tools.
  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and drive insights.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Strong team management skills with the ability to engage and collaborate across business functions.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Experience in driving efficiencies and implementing technology solutions in finance operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
  • Experience:
    • 12+ years of experience in Record to Report (RTR) processes under Indian accounting standards.
    • Experience working in a Shared Services Centre (SSC) environment.
    • Strong background in financial reporting, compliance, and audit coordination.
