Description
Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Director will lead a transformational initiative aimed at centralizing and optimizing A/R processes. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of A/R operations within the organization. Managing a large team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, the Director will bring strong leadership and organizational expertise to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive A/R transformation strategy in collaboration with the VP, Finance.
- Operational Excellence: Design and execute process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of A/R functions.
- Team Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to the Manager and other team members, fostering professional growth and succession planning.
- Technology and Systems: Oversee the selection and implementation of technology solutions to support A/R transformation and scalability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of A/R processes with organizational goals.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish KPIs to monitor A/R performance, regularly reporting progress to senior leadership.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or MBA designation is an asset.
- 10+ years of experience in A/R, including 5+ years in a managerial role or expertise in transformation for shared services gained in consulting or industry.
- Proven experience in leading transformation projects and implementing shared service models.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and operational efficiency projects.
- Strong managerial and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
- Proficiency in A/R platforms, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
- Familiarity with FSRA regulations is an advantage.Experience gained in any highly regulated industry is acceptable.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
