Accounting Process Owner – R2R Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounting Team and Lead the Management Accounting and Consolidation function
• Lead adjustments between HGB and IFRS for international entities and the Group
• Manage accounting processes and identify areas for Process improvements and finance process automation
• Project Management of Finance improvement initiatives such as Process improvements and Digital Transformation projects
• Change Management for Finance stakeholders across Finance operations to a new way of working
• Lead the Accounting department through Audit including interactions with external auditors and Tax Consultants etc

Qualification & Requirements

• Strong Accounting knowledge including German GAAP and IFRS with prior Group Accounting and Consolidation experience
• Excellent knowledge of HGB, German GAAP and IFRS
• Experience in a Group Accounting function including working with international entities and managing accounting and consolidation processes at the Group Level
• Prior Management experience of Accounting teams or experience in a Team Lead position
• Knowledge of General Ledger (GL) Accounting and Record to Report processes
• Prior project experience in Finance / Accounting Transformation, e.g. Chart of Accounts design / re-design, Leading Finance Process Mapping, Process re-engineering, Finance Digitalisation and Finance Transformation initiatives
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Fluent German
