Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting functions across multiple operating locations, managing monthly financial close processes.
• Lead a team of five accountants, providing training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Act as the primary accounting contact for finance leaders across various properties.
• Own sales & use tax filings, staying up to date with state and local tax regulations (SALT).
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining financial workflows.
• Support ad-hoc projects related to financial operations and system enhancements.

Qualification & Requirements

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA required).
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
• Strong technical expertise in US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Ability to problem-solve, analyze data, and leverage technology for process improvements.
• Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills (macros, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Strong communication skills, capable of working across all levels of an organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mix of public accounting and industry experience.
• Background in hospitality, entertainment, real estate, property or multi-location businesses.
• Experience in a shared services environment.
