Description

An established international organisation is seeking an experienced finance operations leader to oversee a Shared Services function supporting multiple business units. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, leading high-performing teams, ensuring robust governance and controls, and delivering continuous process improvement across key finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams across Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Record-to-Report, Accounts Payable, and Master Data functions.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture while providing strong leadership and direction to management teams.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain talent within the Shared Services organisation.
  • Implement and maintain efficient, standardised processes aligned with organisational objectives and service delivery targets.
  • Drive KPI-focused performance management to improve operational efficiency, quality, and customer service.
  • Ensure finance processes are continuously reviewed and enhanced to maximise effectiveness and scalability.
  • Develop and execute annual continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence.
  • Establish and oversee internal controls, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Support compliance with relevant accounting, tax, regulatory, and governance requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and act as a trusted finance partner.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for finance operational queries and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support major finance transformation projects, including ERP implementations, process migrations, and accounting standard changes.
  • Champion the adoption of digital tools, automation, and technology-driven process improvements.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Proven experience leading finance operations or shared services functions within a multinational environment.
  • Strong background across multiple finance disciplines, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process standardisation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Experience managing large teams and developing high-performing finance organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation initiatives, ERP implementations, or large-scale process changes.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on service excellence and operational performance.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
